David Diaz has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate, from on-the-ground property management to leading operations for a division of one of the top U.S. brokerage firms.
David’s commercial real estate industry experience and relationships are expansive. Directly prior to joining Carney, David was the Regional and Corporate Sales Director for Catylist, Inc., responsible for the sales and implementation of the company’s commercial real estate technology and marketing solutions in some of the nation’s largest brokerages. In addition, David has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Sperry Van Ness Institutional, the national institutional level brokerage arm of Sperry Van Ness; and has worked in commercial real estate lending for Cohen Financial and BB&T.
David’s specific transactional experience includes participating in the disposition of more than $1 billion in institutional level multifamily properties; and placement of development and construction loans, participatory/mezzanine loans, bridge financing, permanent loans, and equity/joint venture capital for market rate and for-sale products. Property types he has brokered/financed include multifamily, hospitality, retail, residential, mobile home and industrial.
David holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in finance, with an emphasis on real estate, from the University of Central Florida. David also holds an MBA from Florida State University with a focus on entrepreneurship. David is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida and serves as Broker of Record for Carney Realty & Associates, Inc.
