Increased Sales For Manufactured Homes In North Fort Myers

North Fort Myers is part of the Cape Coral–Fort Myers Metropolitan Statistical Area. Some of the famous celebrities who live in the area are MLB player and NASCAR driver Mike Greenwell, country music singer Mindy McCready, Lieutenant Governor of Florida Jeff Kottkamp and NCAA WVU Mountaineer football star, Noel Devine. North Fort Myers is a lovely place to live because of its wonderful nature, recreational activities and friendly neighborhoods.

Andrea Galabinski of Cape Coral Breeze recently reported that local manufactured home communities are on an early start to seasonal sales for houses and lots in North Fort Myers and other areas in Southwest Florida such as Fort Myers and Cape Coral. According to Margaret Black, the marketing and sales associate at Horizon Village Co-op, Inc. stated, "Our summer was the busiest we've ever had, and I've been here since 2008."  The village is a resident-owned 55+ adult active community. Black added, "Our community is resident owned, a cooperative, which has both shareholder and non-shareholder homes, which means the shareholders own the lot."

The community manager at nearby Windmill Village, Bob Duncan, also reported the early and continuous sales upturns. The trend continues to go up as some are downsizing larger homes due to rising expenses, and also from Fort Myers and Cape Coral single family home foreclosures. They are also bringing in some more new homes in the coming months because of increase in demand. The community caters to renters as well.

Christopher O. Jackson, executive director of the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce said in a recent statement, "We have many manufactured home communities in the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and they bear little resemblance to the 'trailer parks' of decades ago," He added, “Today's communities are more upscale with larger homes, lots and amenities.” Before, homes that were manufactured were about 12-14 feet wide. At present, homes are wider, ranging from 18 feet wide to 80 feet long.

In North Fort Myers, communities also provide a wide range of recreational amenities from heated swimming pools and hot tubs to spas and recreational clubhouses. According to Duncan, "Shuffleboard is a big activity, along with water aerobics, indoor exercise classes, a hobby club and more."
